The Alice Hyde Medical Center (AHMC) Gastroenterology team is seeking an experienced and patient-focused Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality care to adult patients in Malone, New York.
This outpatient-focused role offers the opportunity to evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage a variety of GI conditions while helping expand access to specialty care in the North Country and collaborating with providers across UVM Health.
Schedule
- Full-time, 1.0 FTE
- 40 hours per week
- Outpatient clinic setting
- No call responsibilities
- No weekend coverage
- Telemedicine component serving New York patients
What You'll Do
- Evaluate and manage adult GI patients
- Conduct new patient consultations and follow-up visits
- Order and interpret diagnostic testing
- Develop treatment plans and provide patient education
- Coordinate care with GI specialists across UVM Health
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and support staff
What We're Looking For
Required
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner in New York State (or eligible for licensure)
- Minimum of 2 years of Nurse Practitioner experience, GI experience preferred
- Eligible for DEA registration
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Preferred
- NP Gastroenterology experience
- Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Hospital Medicine experience
- Interest in specialty GI care
Compensation
- $67.48- 89.97/hr.
